With Destination Beauty you will Receive GREAT SERVICE

As a mother of 3 lovely children I have been considering ways to improve my figure – especially my breast and my stomach, which I was fairly unhappy with. I went to see 2 plastic surgeons in Australia and was quoted between AUD 19,000 and AUD 22,000 for breast lift, tummy tuck and liposuction. Having 3 children I have lots of expenses and hence I went online to explore how to receive my makeover without destroying my finances.

I contacted several companies online both in Thailand, Australia and Malaysia – of those Destination Beauty in Thailand was the first one to reply my email and attach a pricelist. I submitted pictures and medical records online and within 48 hours I received an email with feedback from the surgeon that I was a candidate for liposuction on thighs, a tummy tuck and a breast lift. The feedback email also included a quote for treatment at Yanhee Hospital of AUD 8050 with 7 nights hospitalization all inclusive.

My contact person at Destination Beauty was extremely helpful answering my questions and even arranged for me to speak with a previous patient from Australia that had a similar treatment in Thailand. The whole process made me feel very comfortable and after discussing with my husband we decided that I should indeed go ahead with this. I would travel alone to Thailand while my children and my husband would stay at home.

Being slightly nervous of traveling alone I called Destination Beauty and we arranged airport pickup, hotel for the first night… and we arranged a shopping trip in Bangkok prior to going to the Hospital.

I arrived in Thailand, spent the usual 30 minutes going through immigration. Once out in the arrivals hall I found my driver carrying a sign with my name at the meeting point. “Welcome to Thailand – Let me take your bags”. Back at the hotel I took a quick shower and the driver took me on a shopping trip to Siam Paragon, Central World and MBK center – we finished at the Suanlum night bazaar, which is a great place with outdoor stalls – all sorts of handicrafts.

Next morning I went to the Hospital and was greeted by International Coordinator Miss Chat. We went to the consultation with Dr. Somsak, my surgeon. Dr. Somsak is a funny and charming surgeon. We had several laughs during my consultation, where Dr. Somsak marked all areas to be operated. I asked Dr. Somsak how many times he had been operating and he said he lost count but it was many thousand times…. That gave me confidence!

My Hospital room was a lovely modern single bedroom with own toilet, satellite TV, safety deposit box… all in all it was like being in a good hotel. After the check-in I was prepared for surgery which included a blood tests, X-Ray of my lungs, blood pressure etc. The nurses were really sweet and we had a lot of fun during my stay. Many of the nurses at the International ward are Filipinos and they all speak fluent English.

I opted for the “Pain Free” system that would ensure I would feel no pain after surgery. This was recommended by the previous Australian patient I spoke with.

After roughly 4 hours of surgery I woke up and felt… no pain. That was great. My husband was informed that all had gone well and that he could call me the next day. The next 2 days after surgery I was checked on every 1 hour by the nurses. They would check blood pressure, temperature and my general well being.

My Destination Beauty contact person came to see me the day after surgery and brought lovely Orchids for me.

On the third day I was up walking on my own. I met some lovely Australian and Swedish ladies on the International ward. I was offered massage to help me cope with having been in bed for 2 days. That was great even though it was only a foot massage. I had a small tea party in my room with my new found friends and really had a good time. All in all my recovery at the Hospital was a happy one. In the ground floor of the Hospital there is a coffee shop and a small hairdresser (where I later had my hair done).

Dr. Somsak came to see me roughly every second day and changed the wound and checked on the healing. 7 days after surgery I had my stitches removed and I was ready to go home. The Destination Beauty driver (same driver that picked me up) picked med up at my hotel and took me to the airport (carried all my bags and had them checked in). Dr. Somsak provided me with a note that specified at the airport that I should have special attention in the form of a wheel chair through the airport. This I really appreciated as my way through immigration was on fast track.

Back home again I am back to work and I am very pleased that my stomach is flat. Doing the Tummy Tuck Dr. Somsak adjusted my muscles so this I am really pleased with. I have saved AUD 10,000 and received a great result!

I have showed my results to friends, family and my own doctor. All are impressed with the result and my next trip will be with my sister and my mother in law to do facelift and eyelid surgery. I hope Kimberly’s story was interesting to you, do let me know if you have any questions or would like to know more about our Cosmetic Surgery, Lasik or Dental.
